Emeka is a graduate of the University of Jos, Nigeria, University of Aberdeen, Scotland, UK, Queen Mary University of London UK and Pan-Atlantic University (EDC/LBS) Ajah, Lagos, Nigeria; A Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales.
Emeka began his legal practice with one of the leading Commercial law firms in Port Harcourt, where he rose to become a senior partner and the firm’s Deputy managing solicitor, acquiring extensive practical knowledge of law and practice in diverse sectors.
As a well grounded legal practitioner in Domestic and International laws, his practice areas include Alternative Dispute Resolution, Construction and Labour Law, Immigration, Banking and Financial services, Energy and Natural Resources, Maritime, Aviation, Personal Injuries and Claims, Telecommunication and Real Estate.
Mr. Onyeka has been involved in several multi-million Naira/Dollar litigation and arbitration matters. He has at different times appeared as Counsel to parties; appointed as Sole, Co-arbitrator and Presiding arbitrator in several domestic and international arbitration tribunals.
Emeka is the current Vice Chair, Port Harcourt Chapter, Nigerian Branch, Chartered Institute of Arbitrators UK; An active member of the Nigeria Bar Association, the Law Society of England and Wales, Notary Public for Nigeria, Approved tutor of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, UK, ex-member of the National Executive Committee of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators UK, Nigeria Branch, Life Member of the Enterprise Development Centre, Pan-Atlantic University, Nigeria, Fellow, Institute of Management Consultants, Fellow, Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK), and Fellow, Institute of Construction Arbitrators.
He communicates fluently in English language.
